A young Stockbroker (Alistair ‘Al’ Smallwood) forsakes his social life when he signs up to his first white-collar boxing fight, where he will fight an unknown opponent in front of a large public crowd. He endures a ruthless training regime and gruelling sparring, all whilst working a high-pressure full-time job. After squaring up to his opponent the night before, he must stand and fight in front of his family, colleagues and thousands more. Exploring the nature of the contrast and similarities between his career and his commitment to boxing, we see that proving himself in the ring becomes central to his identity as a Broker.
